Been to your house today to pick up some photos and found your little glass paper weight filled with coloured sand. One of my most vivid memories is of our Isle of White trips, going to black gang chine and the coloured sands. Filling all those glass bottles with sand and being amazed at how cool it was!! Loved our Camping and caravan holidays, crazy golf, the amusements, agadoo, you making me enter the singing competitions cos you were so biased and thought I was the best at everything. The fancy dress costumes you made every holiday and made from scratch whilst we were there with crepe paper and other craft! We always won! You put so much time and effort into them, fisherman and mermaid, salt and shake crisp packet, noddy, hoola girl. We've seen them all today. Plus the time you spent making all my dance costumes- some of the craziest outfits you've ever seen. Perfectly coordinated ribbons in my hair oh and lots of dreadful outfits mummy! Patterned culottes! Shiny suits for David! Oh how you thought we were the best at everything we ever did. I even found pictures of me trying to be a model that you took in the back garden. You taught us we could do anything and be anything. You were so proud of everything we did. Hope you will be looking down to see everything we do from now on xxxx
